![]() Secretary of Jadavpur University Teachers' Association (JUTA) said. "I urge the Centre to provide grants so that research works by teachers of JU can be put up at the international level in the days to come," Partha Pratim Roy, general We are proud of the many outstanding QuestBridge Finalists and College Prep Scholars who are current Stanford students and those who are now Stanford alumni. Since 2006, we have been a dedicated QuestBridge partner. Jadavpur University Vice-Chancellor Suranjan Das said that being a state university it gets enough assistance from the state government and urged the Centre for more grants so that JU could excel more in research in the days to come. Stanford is committed to providing access and opportunity for high achieving, low-income students. Only the institutions in the likes of six IITs that includes Delhi, Madras, Kharagpur, Kanpur, Bombay, IIT Roorkee and IISC Bengaluru have ranked ahead of JU. Stanford University based in California has made a database of 3796 scientists–researchers among universities across the country among which the maximum number of teachers are from JU.ĭepartments of Mathematics and Chemistry have been excellent performers in this area. Last year 29 teachers from JU had figured in the list. I certainly don't think the new dates have any relation to a decision having been made or what that decision would be.KOLKATA: At least 42 teachers from Jadavpur University (JU) have figured in the list compiled by Stanford University that ranks the top two per cent of scientists worldwide based on their research publications. u/ChanceAnt 's screenshot makes me think that an internal error (either human error or system error) made the SAT/ACT item show as awaiting and that the new dates are someone cleaning them up manually. I suppose they could be doing that as some sort of pre-review test score verification, but that seems unlikely to me because it would be really tedious for little benefit and a lot of confusion. The only way to change the received date, that I'm aware of, is to change it manually. This is why many institutions show the specific test dates received below the checklist. Stanford could totally have something more custom set up, but speaking generally, the date checklist items are received is static and won't change even if a new item of the same type is received. Now with a free bonus chapter added 1.99 Add to Cart Buy Portal 2 9. I don't have any knowledge of Stanford's internal review processes, but I do know they use Slate and I know a fair amount about Slate. Portal 2 - The Final Hours is a digital book that takes you deep within the top-secret offices of Valve for an unvarnished look at the creative process behind Portal 2. I'll make an update post in a few weeks (before decisions) to see whether it holds up. The most sensical theory seems to be the one posted by u/Ut-Mis_is_great (see top comment below). UPDATE: Okay, so it's been a few hours since I posted this, and the results seem to be similar to the CC (blegh) thread. in Aero/Astro Engineering from Stanford four days before his thirtieth. I found it kinda strange, since it hasn't happened with any of my other portals. TL DR If you login to the Stanford portal, the "date received" for (self-reported) SAT/ACT scores changed for some people recently. Kinda strange that it would update on the portal though.Īnyway, as I continue procrastinating on work, I was interested to hearing your theories about this, thought it might make a fun little thread on here. Personally, I think it just means your application has been reviewed. Obviously, with it being CC, people think it has to do with whether you're accepted or rejected. Previously (if self-reported), it would have just stated the same day as the application. Essentially, it says that if you log into the Stanford portal, some people see that the date when the SAT/ACT was received changed quite recently (some people saw it change to late Feb, others to early March). ![]() People on there were discussing something pretty interesting. Yesterday, I was lurking on the Stanford RD 2023 Applicants thread, just to see what's up, while procrastinating on decisions. So, I think most people on here can agree that CollegeConfidential is a pretty toxic site. ![]()
